It has a refreshing taste and is easy to eat, making it a popular snack among common people. There is a theory that it was originally created by Date Masamune for the hot spring guests in Naruko! Nowadays, it is sold all year round at supermarkets and Michi-no-Eki (roadside rest areas) in Miyagi, and has become a beloved food known as a snack for common people.
