Sendai Castle Ruins
A castle ruin where you can see the statue of Masamune Date on horseback
Sendai Castle once stood on a vast site of 500 meters east to west, 1,000 meters north to south, and with a main enclosure of 20,000 tsubo. You can see its remnants such as the castle approach, the remains of the third enclosure, and the reconstructed side tower, as well as the stone walls built on the mountaintop. Part of the castle ruins has been turned into a park. Also, from the main enclosure where the statue of Masamune Date on horseback stands, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Sendai City and the Pacific Ocean.
