Iki City Iki no Shikoku Museum
A museum where you can learn about the Hara no Tsuji ruins, a nationally designated special historic site
Iki Island, which was once known as Iki no Shikoku and is mentioned in the Wei Zhi, is now home to numerous ancient tombs and ruins. The museum exhibits valuable items that tell the story of ancient Japan, which were excavated from these sites. Interestingly, the building itself is the last work of the brilliant architect Kisho Kurokawa.
