Shiroishi Castle
The residence of Katagura Kojuro, Date Masamune's right-hand man
This was the residence of Katagura Kojuro, located in the center of Shiroishi City. It was dismantled once in Meiji 7, but in order to commemorate Katagura Kojuro's achievements, the castle tower, Ote-ichinomon gate, and Ote-ninomon gate were reconstructed in wood in Heisei 7. Visitors can experience authentic armor dressing inside the castle.
