Access

Access to the Shimoda Aquarium
There are various ways to access the Shimoda Aquarium. If you are coming by car, take the Izu Chuo Expressway and Shuzenji Road from the Tomei Expressway, which is about 40km from the Tsukigase IC. The aquarium has a parking lot and parking is free. There are parking spaces for 200 cars and 10 buses. If you are coming by train, you can use the Izu Kyuko Line to access the Shimoda Aquarium from Izu Kyukou Shimoda Station. Please take advantage of the convenient access methods and come to the Shimoda Aquarium.

Fee

Limited-Time Special Web Discount Plan for Great Savings
The admission fee is 2,100 yen for adults (junior high school students and above) and 1,050 yen for children (from 4 years old to elementary school students). In addition, a limited-time special web discount plan is also available for advance purchase. With this plan, adults can receive a 200 yen discount (1,900 yen), children can receive a 100 yen discount (950 yen), and those aged 65 and over can enter for 1,800 yen. When presenting a discount coupon, please show it to the staff either as a printout or on a mobile device screen. The opening hours are from 9:30 to 16:30 from November 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023, and from 9:00 to 16:30 from March 1 to October 31, 2023 (excluding certain periods). During the spring break period (from March 25 to April 2) and the Golden Week period (from April 29 to May 7), the opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00, and during the summer vacation period (from July 22 to August 27), the opening hours are from 8:30 to 17:30. However, the aquarium will be closed for maintenance from December 12 to December 15, 2023. Purchase advance tickets and enjoy the aquarium at a discounted price.
