The Dancer Limited Express is Popular
For those using public transportation, the nearest station is "Izukyu Shimoda Station," and from Tokyo, you can arrive in about 2 hours and 45 minutes by using the limited express Dancer from JR Tokyo Station to Izukyu Shimoda Station. From Nagoya, take the Shinkansen to JR Atami Station and transfer to the Izukyu line to arrive at Izukyu Shimoda Station in about 3 hours. From Izukyu Shimoda Station, take the bus bound for "Shirahama" from bus stop number 9 and get off at "Lespo Shirahama" to arrive at Shirahama Ohama Beach in about 15 minutes. If taking a taxi, it will take about 8 minutes from Izukyu Shimoda Station.
