Access

Convenient Access by Train or Car to a Famous Hot Spring
Access to Tsumagoi Onsen is easy by train or car. If coming by train, you can arrive at Hamamatsu Station via the JR Tokaido Line or JR Tokaido Shinkansen. From Hamamatsu Station, you can take a bus or taxi. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes from Bus Terminal 1 to Tsumagoi Onsen. Taking a taxi takes about 35 minutes from the Hamamatsu Station taxi stand. If coming by car, it takes about 5 minutes from Tsumagoi Onsen SIC to reach the hot spring area. Access by car is also convenient, so please use it. Please choose a transportation method that considers your convenience and visit this beautiful famous hot spring.

History

History and Basic Information of Tateshina Onsen
Tateshina Onsen is a hot spring resort located in the Tateshina area of Hamamatsu Lake. The Tateshina Tourism Association was established in 1953, and after drilling for hot springs, the resort opened in 1958. The hot springs contain salt components and are said to be effective for neuralgia and rheumatism. The name comes from the Soto Zen Tateshina Temple, located on the north side of the hot spring town. Traditional events such as fire festivals and hand-held fireworks are held in Tateshina Temple and are enjoyed by local residents and tourists alike. Tateshina Onsen is a hot spring resort with a history from the drilling of the source to the healing of the hot springs.
