The Subashiri Maboroshi Falls in Shizuoka Prefecture is a seasonal natural phenomenon where water flows down Mt. Fuji's lava. This waterfall, which appears from mid-May to early June at an altitude of 2,080m, is called "maboroshi" because it is formed temporarily by snowmelt water. It is popular among hikers and tourists for its mysterious beauty and the rarity of being visible for only a short period of time, especially during sunny weather or when temperatures rise.
