Spread out on a hill that overlooks the blue sea, the garden is divided into 12 themes. On the vast 200,000 square meter land of ACAO FOREST, 13 unique theme gardens that make use of the terrain are spread out, and different flowers bloom depending on the season. COEDA HOUSE at ACAO FOREST is a popular cafe designed by architect Kengo Kuma. It boasts a view of the sea and a design that harmonizes with the rose garden. The original drinks and sweets served here are exquisite, utilizing herbs and oranges that are specialties of Atami to bring out the flavors of the ingredients. In particular, the ATAMI Orange Cheesecake is a baked cheesecake with a refreshing acidity, and its motif is the pillar of COEDA HOUSE, making it a noteworthy point. The rose ice cream combines fresh milk and rose water, and is decorated with jam containing rose petals for a luxurious taste. Be sure to indulge in it.

At the herb workshop in ACAO FOREST, you can enjoy a workshop where you can make handmade items using herbs and natural materials. It's popular among women as you can blend your favorite scents and make original soap, nail oil, solid perfume, and more. In addition, they also sell craft products such as craft accessories adorned with flowers, goods made from natural materials, and original blend teas.

Soga Asama Shrine is a must-visit spot when visiting ACAO FOREST, as it is a shrine that symbolizes family, marriage, and friendship. It enshrines gods such as Oyamatsumi no Mikoto and Konohanasakuya-hime, and is said to have blessings for good relationships and child-rearing. In particular, Konohanasakuya-hime is known as the goddess of cherry blossoms, and is said to be a goddess with both beauty and strength. At the shrine, you can purchase unique souvenirs such as a stamp with a rose design and an ema board with a picture of Atami cherry blossoms, which are in line with the atmosphere of ACAO FOREST.

At ACAO Forest, attractive events are held depending on the season. At the ACAO Rose Festa 2023, which takes place during the peak season of fragrant Damascus roses from May to June, you can enjoy a variety of events such as ROSE workshops using the fragrant roses, and street live performances by horn and saxophone players. We recommend purchasing one of the five discounted tickets (as of May 2023) available on the website, which includes admission and various experiences. Advance tickets can be used immediately after purchase, allowing you to smoothly enter the park without waiting in line. The web-exclusive Early IN ticket is limited in quantity and allows you to enter the park from 8:00 am, earlier than the usual opening time, so you can avoid crowds and enjoy a leisurely stroll. Additionally, there are discounted ticket sets available for families with children, which include admission and experiences such as making herb soap, nail oil, and solid perfume.
