The Basho and Seifu Historical Museum in Obanazawa City is a building that reproduces a townhouse from the late Edo period. It was preserved as the home of Suzuki Seifu, a wealthy merchant, and was also the place where Matsuo Basho stayed for a long time. In addition to items that remind us of the past, such as bean dolls and daifukucho, the museum also has two authentic Basho manuscripts, making it a must-visit spot for history fans. You can visit for a reasonable admission fee of 210 yen. Please come and visit!
