Around this beautiful five-story pagoda is a giant cedar tree called Jijisugi, which is over 1,000 years old. The tree has a circumference of about 10 meters and its powerful presence is captivating. Access in About an Hour by Car from Imaichi IC!
If using public transportation to access Yudono-san Shrine, take the Yumoto-gawa Onsen-bound bus from Yagan Railway Yumoto-gawa Onsen Station on the Nikko Kotsu Dial Bus. After about a 17-minute ride, get off at the Hotel Hana to Hana-mae bus stop, and the shrine is just a short walk away. If traveling by car, take National Route 121 and Prefectural Route 249 via Imaichi IC on the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road, and you'll arrive in about an hour over the approximately 48-kilometer journey.
