The Kamitsuke Village Museum recreates the former mansion of a powerful clan, villages, and rice fields. 高崎駅からバスで30分、素晴らしい場所を見つけました。博物館の近くには、２つの前方後円墳が復元されていますが、博物館の説明で理解が深まります。特に埴輪についての説明が面白いです。また有史以前の榛名山噴火から、この地域の歴史を学ぶことができました。

古墳時代の出土品が多数展示されておりとても勉強になります。お土産コーナーもあり文具などが購入できます。埴輪の人形がとても可愛いので是非販売して欲しいです。

博物館も近くの古墳も、なかなか見応えがあります。古墳時代出世すごろくやってみると分かると思いますが、結構ハードモードです。特に序盤、出鼻を挫かれるキツイ罠が多数配置されています… 子供達が泣き出したらおしまいかなと思ったけど、何とかゴール出来ました。古墳時代を生き抜くのは大変だ…
