A temple with a deep history built by Kobo Daishi.
Shuzenji is located in the center of Shuzenji Onsen, which was established by Kukai, also known as Kobo Daishi, in 807. The wooden statue of Dainichi Nyorai is designated as an important cultural property of the country. It is widely known as a famous temple that appears in the novels of literary masters.
