Asakusa's charm lies in being able to enjoy the red lantern of Kaminarimon, the vivid vermillion five-story pagoda, and Asakusa Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, all at once. Kaminarimon has become a symbol of Asakusa, and many tourists from both Japan and overseas visit to take commemorative photos. The gate is named "Furaijinmon" due to the wind god and thunder god enshrined on either side, and is commonly referred to as "Kaminarimon". The five-story pagoda stands at approximately 50 meters tall and is a brilliant vermillion color. At night, it is beautifully lit up, making it even more charming.
