This historic ranch opened in Meiji 35 and boasts a vast grazing area and pastureland of 108 hectares at an elevation of 1,300 meters. Every June, the cows are released to graze, so you can see them leisurely eating grass all over the ranch.

A Ranch in the Great Outdoors Away from the City Center
Sasagamine Ranch is an open ranch located in the great outdoors away from the urban areas of Niigata. From the Hokuriku Shinkansen "Joetsu Myoko Station," transfer to the Echigo Tokimeki Railway and arrive at the nearest station to the ranch, "Myoko Kogen Station," in about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at the station, take a bus for about 50 minutes to reach Sasagamine Ranch. If you are driving, make use of the Sasagamine Parking Lot, which is located near the ranch and offers free parking.
