Hara Castle Ruins

This is the stage of the Shimabara Rebellion (Shimabara no Ran), also known as the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion, which occurred about 400 years ago. It was the site of the main battlefield of the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion, which became the trigger for the Kirishitan to be forced to "hide" and search for ways to continue their faith independently.
