"Suzushi-zuka" in Yozawa-ji Temple in Obanazawa City is the place where the wealthy merchant and haiku poet Seifu Suzuki stayed. A monument inscribed with a haiku composed by Matsuo Basho has been erected, and the place enveloped in coolness has attracted many people. It is also the 25th temple of the Mogami pilgrimage to Kannon. This place, which also appears in "Oku no Hosomichi," is known as a place associated with Basho and can be imagined from his famous writings and haiku that evoke a sense of travel and emotion.
