Kongofukuji Temple in Kochi Prefecture is famous as the 38th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. This temple, which has the three-faced Senju Kannon Bodhisattva carved by Kobo Daishi as its main deity, is located on Cape Ashizuri and attracts visitors with its beautiful garden and subtropical plants. Don't miss the newly built thirteen-story pagoda and the sculptures of whales and bonitos on the temple grounds. It's also known as a training center and a place of imperial prayer.
