Highlights

Point 1

Cross Hand in Hand with Your Loved One

Angel Road Cross Hand in Hand with Your Loved One
Angel Road is a sandy path that appears twice a day during low tide, and can be crossed on foot for about 2-3 hours before and after low tide. It's a romantic spot where it's said that wishes come true when you cross it hand in hand with your loved one. It's also famous as a filming location for movies such as "Boku to Mama no Kiiroi Jitensha" and "Setouchi Kaizoku Monogatari", making it a must-see spot for movie fans! Be sure to visit, especially during sunset, as it's particularly beautiful.
Point 2

Ring the Bell of Happiness

Angel Road Ring the Bell of Happiness
Before crossing the Angel Road, there is a small, elevated rocky area called the "Promise Hill Observatory," and at the top of this hill is something called the "Bell of Happiness." Here, you can ring the "Bell of Happiness," which is a popular spot for proposals! It would be even more romantic to propose during sunset. Additionally, you can get the best shot of the Angel Road from here!
Point 3

Send a Letter to the Angel's Post

Angel Road Send a Letter to the Angel's Post
At the Angel Road Tourist Information Center, there is a white postbox with wings called the "Angel's Post". Not only is it cute, but letters and postcards deposited in this postbox will receive a postmark with designs of scenes from Shodoshima, such as Angel Road and olives! It would be a delightful surprise to send a letter to yourself as a memory of your trip or to send it to your family.
Point 4

Try Drawing a Love Fortune at a Shrine

Angel Road Try Drawing a Love Fortune at a Shrine
Near the entrance of Angel Road, there is a shrine called "Ebisu Shrine" that sells love fortunes from vending machines. If you've come all the way to the lover's sanctuary, be sure to draw one! Love fortunes drawn at the lover's sanctuary are sure to have some special power. Additionally, the place where you tie your fortune is decorated with angel wings or heart shapes, making it a great spot for photos.
Point 5

Visit the Angel Road Illuminated at Night

Visit the Angel Road Illuminated at Night
Did you know that Angel Road is actually illuminated at night from 8pm to 10pm? The nearby Shodoshima International Hotel illuminates it every day, allowing you to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere while walking along the shore in a quiet space. However, please be careful as the ground may be dark despite the illumination.

Access

A Popular Spot in the Teshima Area
Angel Road is a scenic spot located in the Teshima area of Shodoshima Island. It's a 30-minute walk from the nearest Teshima Port, 10 minutes by rental bicycle, or about 5 minutes by taxi. You can also access it by bus and getting off at the "Kokusai Hotel (in front of Angel Road)" stop, but we recommend renting a bicycle, driving, or taking a taxi. Angel Road can only be seen for about 2 hours before and after low tide twice a day, so these means of transportation are recommended to make the most of your time!

Parking

Free Parking Available
There are multiple parking lots near Angel Road, all of which are free to use. The "First Parking Lot" located within Angel Road Park can accommodate up to 25 regular cars and 10 light cars, while the "Second Parking Lot" can accommodate up to 50 cars. Additionally, you can also park at the parking lot inside the Dojo Town General Hall. With so many parking options available, it's convenient for those coming by car and provides peace of mind.
