Hojoji Temple, the 40th temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, features many traditional buildings such as stone walls, earthen walls, and a entrance with a karahafu gable, all in the style of a castle built against a mountain. The dignified buildings that evoke a sense of history fascinate visitors. For over 100 years since its founding, events such as kiuri kaji have been held at this temple, and pilgrims visit to receive the blessings of the Great Master. We pray that you will receive the blessings of the Great Master during your visit. Additionally, cute dogs will welcome you within the temple grounds.
