Ise Shrine, with Mt. Ishizuchi, the highest peak in western Japan, as its object of worship.
This shrine is located at the foot of Mt. Ishizuchi, which is one of Japan's Seven Sacred Mountains and the highest peak in western Japan. The shrine consists of four shrines: the "Main Shrine (Kuchi no Miya)" located at the foot of the mountain, the "Naritoki Shrine (Nakami)" and "Do-goya Haraihai-den (Nakami)" located on the mountainside, and the "Summit Shrine (Okumiya)" located at the top of the mountain. Together, they are known as Ishizuchi Shrine. The summer festival held from July 1st to 10th every year is called "Oyamabiraki" and attracts tens of thousands of believers from all over the country.
