This is the largest glass workshop in the prefecture where you can observe glass craftsmen creating Ryukyu glass, a traditional craft born in Okinawa with a history of over 100 years, using a kiln of over 1300 degrees in front of you. You can also experience glass making, so it's one of the memories you can make in Okinawa!

At Ryukyu Glass Village, Ryukyu glass is exhibited and sold. You can get up close and personal with Okinawa's traditional craft, "Ryukyu glass." There are many products available, from luxurious to easy-to-use items! You can also purchase them, so please try picking them up and taking a look. There are three stores that exhibit and sell Ryukyu glass products. At "GLASS GALLERY," delicate glass works are exhibited. The works, made with the techniques of skilled craftsmen, emit a shine and luxury. You can not only appreciate them, but also purchase them. The Ryukyu glass items at "Ryukyu Glass Life Shop" are impressively sold in cool colors. The shop has a variety of products that can brighten up your daily life. There are plenty of items that can be used in daily life, such as cups and plates. At "FACTORY STORE," the feature is that you can enjoy handmade Ryukyu glass up close. All the products in the store are handmade at Ryukyu Glass Village and sold directly. It's also a happy point that you can purchase them at reasonable prices.

At the Ryukyu Glass Village's "RGC Factory," you can see the process of making Ryukyu glass products. You can witness the process up close as the Ryukyu glass is created. You won't be able to take your eyes off the process of the Ryukyu glass being made. Since the glass-making live show has a set time, be sure to go at the designated time.

If you want to make something that embodies the spirit of Okinawa, we recommend the "Glass Making Experience" or "Shisa Coloring". If you display your finished work at home, it may remind you of the fun you had on your trip to Okinawa. For those who love accessories, the "Accessory Making" class is a must-see, where you can make necklaces and bracelets. In addition, there are also classes for making "Gel Glass", "Photo Frames", and even "Fragrance Blending". Choose your favorite experience and create your own original item!

1-minute Walk from Namihei Entrance Bus Stop
The main ways to access Ryukyu Glass Village are by bus or car. If taking the bus, take the No. 89 "Itoman Line" from Naha Bus Terminal and head to "Itoman Bus Terminal." From there, take either the No. 82 "Tamagusuku-do Itoman Line" or the No. 108 "Southern Circulation Line" and get off at the "Namihei Entrance" bus stop. Once you get off at the stop, it's just a 1-minute walk to Ryukyu Glass Village. If coming by car, it takes about 25 minutes from Naha Airport to Ryukyu Glass Village. Head south on National Route 331 towards Itoman, and continue towards the Himeyuri Tower from the Itoman Rotary. After passing the Nanbu Hospital, Ryukyu Glass Village will be on your right. Be careful not to pass the Himeyuri Tower.
