Highlights

Point 1

Reproduction of Dutch Streets in a Theme Park

Huis Ten Bosch, Japan's largest theme park, is modeled after the Netherlands, with a canal leading to the sea and a landscape of cobblestone streets that is truly European. Its vastness is said to be equivalent to that of the Principality of Monaco, or about 33 Tokyo Domes! The vast and exotic scenery is like a city in itself, and just walking around gives you the feeling of being on a trip overseas.
Point 2

World's Largest Illumination Event, Visible Year-Round!

When it comes to Hakata's Huis Ten Bosch, the most famous attraction is the "Kingdom of Light," an illumination event featuring the world's largest display of 13 million lights. You can enjoy the event not only in winter but also throughout the year. In the baroque-style garden of "Palace Huis Ten Bosch," there is the "Jewel Illumination Show," and in the attraction area, there is the classic illumination spot of the "Light Ferris Wheel," which shines with about 70,000 lights. In addition, there are also seasonal contents such as "3D Projection Mapping" and "Umbrella Street." No matter what season you visit, the beautiful light displays in the European scenery will light up, and you can spend a romantic night.
Point 3

Seasonal Flowers in Full Bloom Throughout the Park

Huis Ten Bosch welcomes visitors with a variety of seasonal flowers throughout the park. Starting with the spring tulips, where approximately one million tulips bloom along the Flower Road in front of the windmill, followed by the sweet fragrance and classical atmosphere of the early summer roses that bloom along the canal and in the garden, and the hydrangeas that decorate the approach to the palace in the summer. During this period, the park holds the "Flower Festival," and the park is filled with a festive mood (check the official website for the schedule each year). The autumn dahlias and winter flower art are also impressive, and visitors can enjoy the four seasons with all five senses throughout the year in the park.
Point 4

Enjoy over 40 Attractions!

Of course, there are plenty of attractions to enjoy. With over 40 varieties to choose from, including ride-type attractions, activities, puzzle-solving games, live shows, and more, there's something for everyone. In the "Attraction Area," where attractions are particularly concentrated, there are plenty of rides that are perfect for families with children, such as the thrilling "VR World" where you can ride with VR goggles, the world's largest three-story merry-go-round "Sky Carousel," and the indoor athletic area for kids, "Fantasy Forest." At the outdoor athletic area, "Adventure Park," you can experience plenty of physical activities, such as "Shooting Star," where you go down a wire rope after crossing a canal, and "Castle in the Sky," where you overcome obstacles at a height of about 9 meters to reach the goal. For those looking for a picturesque spot, we recommend "Flower Fantasia," a healing space with light and flowers. You can enjoy plenty of activities during your stay according to your mood.
Point 5

Summer Brings a Giant Pool to Life!

During the summer season, a giant garden pool appears in the heart of the town at Huis Ten Bosch! The pool has a diameter of about 50 meters and features powerful water cannons, as well as attractions such as the 10-meter-high "Mega Slider." For children in elementary school and older, there are also "Kids Pool" and "Tarzan Pool" options. For those who want to swim leisurely, there is also an indoor pool surrounded by tropical trees. At night, both indoor and outdoor pools host night pool events. The pools are wrapped in a fantastic light, making for great photo opportunities. At the outdoor garden pool, you can enjoy popular "Bubble Time" events and gaze up at fireworks (limited to certain dates) from the pool, making plenty of summer memories.
Point 6

Five Hotels to Stay in at the Park

If you're planning to stay overnight at Huis Ten Bosch, we recommend the five hotels located within the park. You can enjoy the illuminations and more until late at night, and staying in the elegant European-style streetscape will surely be a special memory. There is a diverse lineup of hotels to choose from, such as the "Hotel Europe," where you can spend a luxurious time and check-in by private cruise from the canal, the "Watermark Hotel," where you can enjoy a slow vacation by the oceanfront, and the "Forest Villa," which stands quietly by the lake in the park and offers a private villa-like experience. Hotel guests can also take advantage of various benefits, such as having their luggage stored at the entrance, plans that include admission tickets, and early admission to the park one hour before opening.
Point 7

Meet Miffy and Chuurii!

Cute characters also welcome you in the park. Miffy, born in the Netherlands, has the world's largest goods specialty store "nijntje Nainche" within Huis Ten Bosch. In addition to directly imported and original items, there is also a cafe where you can enjoy sweets and drinks inspired by Miffy. There are experiences here that you can't have anywhere else. Miffy's greeting event is also held, so check the schedule. Chuurii, the tulip fairy mascot of Huis Ten Bosch, is also active!
Point 8

From European Flavors to Nagasaki Local Cuisine!

At Huis Ten Bosch, which has about 40 restaurants both inside and outside the park, the food is a must-try. If you want to experience the atmosphere of Europe, head to the cheese fondue restaurant "Cheese Wharf," modeled after the cheese weighing house in the Dutch city of Hoorn. The authentic recipe has been faithfully reproduced. If you want to enjoy Nagasaki's specialty dishes, you can choose from a variety of options such as "Road Layu," famous for its lemon steak, "Bicken Bicken," which serves Sasebo burgers, and "Tot Tot To," a Western-style restaurant that features Nagasaki-born Turkish rice as its main dish. In addition, there are cafes, take-out shops, and restaurants with a wide range of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, as well as menus for children.
