The panoramic view from the castle tower of Hirado Castle is truly breathtaking. You can overlook the beautiful Hirado Seto, where the sea and mountains weave together. The castle, which stands on a hill with an elevation of about 53 meters, has a history of flourishing as a trading port with Western Europe. Additionally, this castle, built by the first feudal lord, Chinnoshin Matsura, has a dramatic history of burning down and being rebuilt. The Kairakuen, which was the first permanent accommodation facility in Japan to be converted from a castle tower, is also a must-see attraction.
