The Oma Port Ruins were used for transporting ore during the Meiji era. The remaining structures, such as stone revetments, truss bridges, loader bridge piers, and crane pedestals, give us a glimpse of the high level of architectural technology at the time. The facility adopts a method of recovering sand-like ore containing gold attached to bubbles stirred in a tank, and the huge concrete structures exude a mysterious vitality. It is a place where you can feel the evolution of architectural technology along with its historical value.
