Sado Island's Top Scenic Spot

Onogame Sado Island's Top Scenic Spot
Located on the north coast of Sado Island, "Onogame" is also famous as a scenic spot where you can see the crystal-clear sea up close. The contrast between the deep blue sea and the gray sandy beach is breathtakingly beautiful. In addition, you can also see a rare sight where the nearby island called "Futatsugame" becomes a separate island when the tide is high, and a sand road to the island appears at low tide. Let's admire the stunning views of Sado, which is also registered in the Michelin Green Guide.
Point 3

Enjoy a Short Hike on a Trekking Course

There is a relatively easy-to-walk and well-maintained trekking course, so those who are confident in their physical fitness can walk up to the top of the rock. In the abundant grassy area, you can feel the majesty of nature. Unlike mountains, there are no tall trees planted, so it's recommended to wear comfortable clothes for walking.

It has been selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Beaches for Swimming" due to its beauty and comfort, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. Generally, there are no beach houses in the surrounding area, and there are no rental or sales of beach equipment, so be sure to bring your own when visiting for tourism.
Point 5

View a Vast Starry Sky from Onogame

View a Vast Starry Sky from Onogame
Onogame, also known as a hidden spot in Sado, offers different views depending on the time of day. Among them, the most recommended is the breathtaking starry sky that spreads out at night. As the sun sets and darkness falls, the stars that appear in the sky are a unique sight to behold in Sado, where there are few streetlights. Since the roads are dark at night and long-distance travel can be difficult, it's best to stay at nearby accommodations if you want to enjoy the night view.
