Shimizu-en in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, is a daimyo garden with a pond and stream layout that is a nationally designated scenic spot. You can view the beautiful scenery created by the seasonal plantings and moss, as well as the entire garden studded with "Sado Akadama stones" in eight viewpoints. In addition, you can enjoy tea while viewing the Japanese garden in one of the five tea rooms. The design incorporating the Omi Hakkei and the restoration style by Yasumi Tanaka are also highlights!
