The specialty dishes of Matsunoyama Onsen, "Yujibuta" and "Yujitamago," are delicious foods made using a unique cooking method that utilizes the hot springs. "Yujibuta" is matured meat from Tsubame-Sanjo's "Koshinohiro," a low-temperature vacuum-cooked pork using the source temperature of Matsunoyama Onsen. You can enjoy the surprising tenderness and sweetness of the pork. "Yujitamago" is a special hot spring egg boiled for 24 hours in the high-temperature source. The outside is firm, and the egg inside is browned, with a slight saltiness as its characteristic. Please enjoy the exquisite gourmet food of Yujibuta and Yujitamago, which can only be tasted at Matsunoyama Onsen.

The Matsumoto area of Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture is known for its heavy snowfall. The average snowfall is over 3.5 meters, and in some years it can exceed 5 meters. However, the roads are always well-cleared of snow, so you can visit with peace of mind. For those who are uneasy about driving on snowy roads, we recommend using taxis, buses, or shuttle services provided by accommodations.
