Mt. Utsukushigahara, located near the Togura-Yamada Onsen, is a popular tourist spot in Nagano City. Its most beautiful feature is the "night view of Mt. Utsukushigahara". During the day, you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons, but at night, it shows a completely different face. There is an observation deck at the top of Mt. Utsukushigahara, and the night view seen from there is impressive. In particular, the panoramic view of the city is breathtaking. You can also enjoy a romantic night under the starry sky from the mountaintop. The view from Mt. Utsukushigahara changes depending on the time of day. From around midnight to early morning, you can enjoy the beautiful night view of Nagano City, which is lit up. In addition, during the winter season, the ski resort is also illuminated, allowing you to enjoy an even more fantastic night view. There are several hiking trails on Mt. Utsukushigahara. History

Hot Springs Town with Over 120 Years of History
The source of the Togura-Yamada hot springs was discovered around 1870. In an effort to revitalize this town, which once flourished as a post town on the Hokkoku Kaido road, Togura Onsen was established in 1893, followed by Kamiyamada Onsen in 1903. Since then, it has prospered as the "Shojin Otoshi no Yu" (purification bath) of Zenkoji. Around 1920, the current hot springs town was formed, and during the Showa period, it developed into a lively hot springs town with shops, restaurants, geisha houses, and public theaters. Although the number of inns has decreased compared to its peak, the hot springs atmosphere still lingers, with the sight of geisha heading to their banquet rooms, attracting tourists such as families and groups from both inside and outside the prefecture.
