There are many nature-rich tourist spots around Naraigawa-juku, including famous places like Lake Suwa and Kamikochi. Using the Kamikochi Line, it's also easy to access Kamikochi, Norikura Kogen, and Shirahone Onsen. It's just a 30-minute train ride from Matsumoto Station to Naraigawa Station, making it easy to get to. Why not enjoy nature around Naraigawa-juku while also taking in the historic streetscape?

Traditional Streetscape About 3 Hours from the City Center

Narai-juku is a historic streetscape that can be reached in about 3 hours from the center of Tokyo. Take the Azusa limited express from JR Shinjuku Station, get off at Shiojiri Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Main Line, and head to the nearest Narai Station. It's about a 3-minute walk from Narai Station to Narai-juku. If you visit by car, the town is designated as an Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and only local residents are allowed to drive in, so park your car in nearby free or paid parking lots.
