Muro Saisei Memorial Museum of Japanese Literature
Muro Saisei was one of the three literary giants of Kanazawa, and a representative poet and novelist of Japanese literature with connections to Kanazawa and Karuizawa. His former residence was renovated and opened as a memorial museum. When he visited Karuizawa in 1920, he was drawn to its charm and built a villa there, spending every summer in Karuizawa for the next 40 years. The greenery of the mossy garden spreads out to create a calming view in the small traditional Japanese house.
