Zelkova Trees Lining Omotesando, Perfect for a Stroll
The zelkova trees lining the street from Harajuku Station to Omotesando Intersection, a distance of just under 1 km, were planted together with the forest at Meiji Shrine. The sidewalk is very wide and easy to walk on, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll while enjoying window shopping. If you get tired along the way, it's also nice to take a break at a cafe. The zelkova trees change their appearance with the seasons, so you can enjoy different scenery depending on the time of year.
Point 3

Enjoying Omotesando in Winter

Enjoying Omotesando in Winter
In the summer, Omotesando is known for its beautiful zelkova tree-lined streets, but in the winter, you can enjoy a different kind of beauty with the illuminated scenery. This illumination, held every year during the Christmas season, uses about 900,000 light bulbs, transforming the Omotesando zelkova tree-lined street into a champagne gold color. This seasonally limited, fantastic space is the perfect spot for a date.

Major Stations to the Trendy Omotesando Street
Major Stations to the Trendy Omotesando Street
Omotesando is the street that runs about 1km from Meiji Shrine Outer Garden to the intersection of Aoyama Street and Omotesando Street. You can easily get to this street from Harajuku Station on the JR Yamanote Line, or Omotesando Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda and Hanzomon Lines. However, both stations have many exits and long underground passages, so it's recommended to check the exit before going if you have a specific shop you want to visit.
