Tokyo Tower, Watching Over Tokyo for Over Half a Century

Built in 1958 as a comprehensive radio and television broadcasting tower, Tokyo Tower has been watching over the city of Tokyo for over half a century. Initially the tallest structure in Japan, it now boasts a height of 333m, second only to Tokyo Skytree. The tower has two observation decks, the Top Deck and the Main Deck, from which you can enjoy views of the city. From the Top Deck, you can look down on the cityscape of Tokyo, while from the Main Deck, you can enjoy a view of the high-rise buildings of Tokyo at eye level.

After undergoing a large-scale renovation in 2018, the Top Deck has become a special observatory that can only be accessed by those who participate in the "Top Deck Tour." The space is characterized by a geometrically mirrored floor called the "Geometric Mirror," which makes you feel like you've wandered into a strange world upon entering. The mirrors, which reflect light from outside and indoor lighting at various angles, create a beautiful space that shows various expressions. There is also an audio guide, allowing you to enjoy the view of Tokyo while listening to the guide.

Enjoy the Illumination of Tokyo Tower from Outside

The illumination of Tokyo Tower is very beautiful, with 180 lights becoming a symbol of Tokyo's cityscape. This illumination actually comes in two types depending on the season. In the summer, it features cool colors to combat the heat, while in the winter, it features warm colors to warm people's hearts. Additionally, starting from the first year of Reiwa, a colorful illumination called "Infinity Diamond Veil" has begun every Monday. At Tokyo Tower, an event is held every day where you can climb up to 150m using 600 stairs. Although it may seem like an incredibly long and daunting staircase, it's actually possible to climb it in 12-13 minutes, so anyone can easily take on the challenge. However, it's important to note that there are no options to switch to an elevator midway, so please consider your physical condition before attempting the climb. Those who successfully climb all 600 stairs will receive a non-saleable "Stair Climbing Certification" as a gift, so why not give it a try?

After looking down on the city of Tokyo from Tokyo Tower, why not enjoy yourself at the foot of the tower? From the basement to the 5th floor of Tokyo Tower, there is a Foot Town where you can enjoy shopping, play, gourmet food, and more. On the 5th and 4th floors, there are facilities where you can experience esports, and from the 3rd floor and up, there are souvenir shops, cafes, crepe shops, ramen shops, and more lined up. Tokyo Tower with Many Nearby Stations

Located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Tokyo Tower has several nearby stations, making it an easily accessible tourist spot. The first is the Toei Subway Mita Line Onarimon Station, where you can see Tokyo Tower right in front of you when exiting from the Akabane Gate. It takes about a 5-minute walk from the station to reach the base of Tokyo Tower. The second is the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Kamiyacho Station, which takes about a 6-minute walk to arrive. The third is the Toei Subway Asakusa Line Daimon Station, which takes about a 10-minute walk. Although there is a slight uphill slope to Tokyo Tower, the road is relatively easy to walk on.

はとバスツアーで伺いました。団体チケットでスムーズに展望台へ展望階は2階建てでエレベータはまず2回部分に到着エレベータを降りると視界が大きく広がりこの日は快晴で結構遠くまで見渡せました。東京タワーから見る東京タワーも気づくことが出来ました。展望会にはオフィシャルショップなどもありますが昔ながらの記念コインを娘が購入し名前と日付の刻印をしました。記念写真も撮影しデータ購入をしました。エレベーターは約40秒ほどで登るのですが日曜日だったので結構順番を待ちました。帰りはバスの集合場所まで残り15分というところで展望会から降りようとしましたがエレベーター待ちの時間があり結構ギリギリでした。

久しぶりにどこに行く？となったとき思い付きで東京タワータワーに行くことにしました🗼チケットはネットで購入できるのでその場で購入したのでチケット購入の列に並ばずに済んで時間短縮になりました！！！お昼ご飯をまず食べたのですがモスバーガーやスパゲティーなど色々と揃っていましたがとにかく土日は観光客も多くて席を探すのに一苦労。なので、他で食べて行くほうがいいですよ！メインタワーのチケットを購入したのですが、階段で昇るかエレベーターで昇るかの二択でした！階段だと600段あるようで、行きはエレベーターにしました！あっという間にメインフロアについて眺めは最高！！！私は高いところが苦手なのもありガラスの近くには行けませんでしたが、みんな景色を楽しんでいました！したが透けて見えるガラスの床は覗くと地面が見えて迫力満点なのでみんな大興奮してましたよ！お土産売場は、人が多くてみるのに混雑してるので2階にあるお土産コーナーなどで買うのが良さそうです！お土産については、東京タワーのキャラクターのインパクトが少し物足りなく感じたので親しみが持てるキャラに変えてスタイリッシュな売場にしたら、観光ついでに東京タワーのキャラクターグッズを買って帰るのになと思いました。帰りは階段を600段降りて帰ったんですが、私は普段運動をしてないため次の日足がカチカチになって筋肉痛でしたー！帰りの階段から見える景色はとっても素敵で最高でした！！！エレベーターは混んでるし帰りは階段で東京タワーの高さを実感しながら帰るのがおすすめです！小学生の娘は簡単に降りてました！！皆さんも東京タワーへいってみてください！楽しいです！ Where are you going for the first time in a while? The souvenir shop is crowded with people, so it might be a good idea to buy one at the souvenir corner on the second floor! As for souvenirs, I felt that the impact of Tokyo Tower's characters was a little unsatisfactory, so I decided to change them to familiar characters and create a stylish sales floor, and then buy Tokyo Tower character goods while sightseeing and go home. On the way home, I went down 600 steps, but since I don't usually exercise, my legs tickled the next day and my muscles hurt! The view from the stairs on the way home was so wonderful and amazing!!! The elevator is crowded, so we recommend taking the stairs to get home while feeling the height of Tokyo Tower! My elementary school girl got off easily!! Everyone please go to Tokyo Tower! 東京を象徴する構造物の一つである東京タワーです。東京スカイツリーより、東京タワーの方が好きという方も大変多く、とても愛された場所です。観光客の方も大変多く、特に夕暮れ時〜夜は大変混み合います。竣工は1958年であり、建設には命綱もつけない職人さんたちが築き上げた電波塔です。高さは333メートル、高さ150メートルと250メートルの位置に展望台が設置されています。トップデッキのリニューアル完成による営業再開に伴い、2024年10月5日よりメインデッキも含めた料金が改定され値上がりします。
