Kiryuoka Zoo is a municipal park located on a small, elevated hill surrounded by beautiful nature in Kiryu City. Over 100 species of animals, including giraffes, lions, elephants, monkeys, flamingos, and spider monkeys, can be seen for free. There is also a small aquarium and an amusement park adjacent to the park, making it a great place for children to enjoy.

Houtokuji Temple is a Rinzai sect temple famous for its floor maple trees. Large events are held throughout the year, such as the special opening of the floor maple trees in May, the Wind Chime Festival in July, and the special opening of the floor maple trees for autumn leaves in November. The temple's garden, which was created by the head priest in 2000, is a top spot to visit and features a beautiful pond garden that was selected by a man who visited over 2,700 night views around the world. Kiryugaoka Zoo is located within Kiryugaoka Park and exhibits approximately 125 species and around 780 animals of various sizes. Kiryugaoka Zoo houses not only popular mammals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, and kangaroos, but also various types of animals such as birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. The birth of lion cubs has also attracted attention from tourists. Not only the zoo, but also Kiryugaoka Amusement Park and Kiryugaoka Nature Observation Forest are recommended for visiting as tourist spots!
