Highlights

Point 1

Enjoy the Scenery of the Four Seasons

Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway Enjoy the Scenery of the Four Seasons
The Kinosaki Ropeway connects to the summit of Mt. Daishi, which is 676 meters high. The journey to the summit takes about 7 minutes, and the attractive point is that you can enjoy the changing scenery of cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and hoarfrost in winter. From the summit, you can overlook the Kinosaki Onsen town below and, on a clear day, see the Sea of Japan in the distance. The ropeway may be closed due to weather conditions, so it's reassuring to check the operating status on the official website before visiting.
Point 2

Make Your Wishes Come True with the "Kawarake Throw"

Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway Make Your Wishes Come True with the "Kawarake Throw"
At the summit, you can participate in the "Kawarake Throw," where it is said that if you hit the target, your wish will come true. There are three types of kawarake at Daishiyama: "Yakuyoke" to ward off bad luck, "Kichijou" to attract good relationships, and "Kanro" to bring happiness. Even if you don't hit the target, breaking the kawarake has the effect of dispelling bad luck, so it's recommended to throw with all your might towards the target.
Point 3

Visit Suedoyama Onsenji Temple

Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway Visit Suedoyama Onsenji Temple
Suedoyama Onsenji Temple is a historic temple that has been watching over the town of Kinosaki Onsen for about 1,300 years. The highlights include the majestic and impressive "Tahoto" pagoda, the approach to the temple that consists of 500 steps from the gate, and the rare "Okunoin" hall, which has a dirt floor and is one of the few remaining in Japan. The approach to the temple, which is one of the attractions, is a mysterious space covered with moss and greenery, where you can feel energized just by walking through it. It's also recommended as a picturesque photo spot with a great atmosphere.
Point 4

Enjoy Delicious Gourmet Food

Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway Enjoy Delicious Gourmet Food
If you're looking for a place to stop by when you're tired from sightseeing, "Miharashi Terrace Cafe @ Summit Station" is the place to go. This cafe offers a glass-walled, open atmosphere where you can enjoy freshly roasted coffee and light meals while overlooking the streetscape of Kinosaki. The most popular menu item is the "Warabi Mochi Parfait". The soft serve ice cream and warabi mochi go perfectly together. Next to the cafe is a "Natural Garden" with small playground equipment for young children to enjoy.
Point 5
