"Mikurigaike Pond" has a circumference of 631 meters and a depth of up to 15 meters, making it the largest in Murodo and considered the most beautiful volcanic lake in the Northern Alps. The reason for its beauty is the clear air that creates an azure lake surface. The surrounding mountains and sky are reflected on the wide surface, sometimes creating an upside-down image of the Tateyama mountain range like a mirror. Many legends have been born from its mystical appearance. When visiting Murodo, be sure to feel the mysterious power of "Mikurigaike Pond," estimated to have been formed about 10,000 years ago.
