Access

Access to Himi Onsen Resort
Access to Himi Onsen Resort is convenient by car or public transportation. For those driving, take National Route 8 towards Takaoka from the Kosugi Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway, then enter National Route 160 and continue straight for about 15 kilometers. Alternatively, head towards Takaoka on the Notoetsu Expressway, exit at Himi IC, and enter National Route 160 towards Nanao and Noto, then continue for about 8 kilometers. You can enjoy a scenic drive while taking in the rich natural surroundings. For those using public transportation, it's about a 10-minute drive from Himi Station on the JR Himi Line. From Shin-Takaoka Station, take a bus and arrive in about 50 minutes.

History

Experience the History of Hot Springs in Himi Onsen
The history of Himi Onsen dates back to March 1950. In the past, drilling was conducted in the area of the Jindai village for the purpose of oil extraction, but surprisingly, hot springs began to gush out. In response, bathing facilities were established in the Jindai and Kamata villages. Later, in 1954, Jindai village was incorporated into Himi City, and the city planned to strengthen tourism. In addition to the existing two hot springs, test drilling was conducted in Nadaura, and the area developed into a hot spring resort. Himi Onsen has a long history, and its rich hot spring culture has been loved by many people. Please enjoy a heartwarming moment in this historic hot spring resort.
