Renting a Car is Recommended for Access!
To get to Himawari no Sato, it takes about 2 hours and 5 minutes by using the highway from New Chitose Airport, the gateway to Hokkaido's skies. From Sapporo Station, it takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes using the same highway. On the way to Himawari no Sato, there are several parking areas, so it's recommended to enjoy Hokkaido's gourmet food while heading there. If you use the train, JR Takikawa Station is the nearest station, but the transportation from there is not very convenient, so renting a car is recommended when accessing the area.
