Kamogawa, Katsuuraとは
Kamogawa is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and aquarium where you can see killer whales. It is also a food city with abundant crops in the inland area and a treasure trove of seafood. The "Oyama Senmaida," a staircase-shaped terraced rice field that spreads out at the foot of the mountain, is a valuable tourist spot that still retains the rural landscape of the good old days and is the only natural field in Japan that is cultivated only with rainwater. Katsuura's morning market has been recognized as one of Japan's three largest morning markets, where you can buy fresh seasonal seafood at reasonable prices and is very popular with locals and tourists alike.
