History

Hot Springs Where History and Nature Fuse
Yunoyama Onsen is a hot spring that was discovered during the Yoro period and has a long history. It temporarily declined due to Nobunaga's invasion of Ise and the effects of war, but was revived during the Edo period and used as a recuperation facility for wounded soldiers during the Meiji period. Yunoyama Onsen became widely known through events such as the Aichi National Athletic Meet and the opening of the Gozaisho Ropeway, and was visited by many literary figures, poets, and botanists.
