Toba Hot Springs is a hot spring resort facing the sea and is famous for its fresh seafood. There are many accommodations that boast dishes made with local specialties such as Ise lobster, abalone, and Matsusaka beef. Many accommodations also have open-air baths and private baths, allowing you to fully enjoy the hot springs. A recommended accommodation is the Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato. It is a hot spring inn with a stunning view of Ise Bay, located about 20 minutes away by shuttle bus from Toba Station. You can enjoy dishes made with two different hot spring sources and ingredients from Ise-Shima.

In addition, the "chloride spring" wraps the skin like a veil with a low concentration of salt, providing expected heat retention and moisturizing effects. Within the Toba Onsen area, there are over 10 day trip hot springs divided by region such as Kashikojima, Obama, and Toba. Some facilities close as early as 5pm, while others stay open until late at night, until 11pm. There is sure to be a day trip hot spring facility that fits your schedule along the way, so be sure to look for it!

Access

Good Access from Kanto!
You can access Toba Onsen from Tokyo in about 2 hours and 30 minutes by Shinkansen, and from Nagoya in about 1 hour and 30 minutes by express train. There are also accommodations that offer shuttle services from Toba Station. In addition, you can use Kintetsu Express or JR Express. By using the "Mawari-Yansen" ticket, you can also ride the local buses and boats as much as you want.
