Kano Castle Ruins in Gifu City is a castle built by the stepson of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and its impressive stone walls and earthworks are a must-see. The 3-4 meter high earthworks are well-preserved around the entire circumference, and it's possible to enjoy a view of the distant area from the main enclosure. In addition, the stone walls built during the construction of the center of Mino Province through the country-wide construction project are breathtaking. It has high historical value and tells the story of the turbulent times from the Warring States period to the Meiji period.
