History

The History of the Nigorigo Onsen

Nigorigo Onsen is one of Japan's leading high-altitude hot spring areas, and is also known as the Hida-side climbing entrance to the sacred Mt. Ontake. It was developed as a hot spring resort around the Meiji era, and became a place where climbers could stay overnight. In the Showa era, a road was opened from Kuguno through Akigami Onsen to Nigorigo Onsen, allowing it to develop as a hot spring resort. In this historic hot spring area, you can enjoy the blessings of nature and hot springs while refreshing your mind and body. Please spend a relaxing and healing time at Nigorigo Onsen.

Access

Access to the Daku Onsen

If you are using a car, you can reach Daku Onsen in about 120 minutes via National Route 41 (towards Takayama), Prefectural Route 437, and Prefectural Route 441 from Gero Onsen. Similarly, from Takayama, you can access it in about 100 minutes using National Route 41 (towards Gero), Prefectural Route 437, and Prefectural Route 441. However, large buses over 8 meters cannot pass through. There are also narrow one-lane sections along the way, and since there are many curves on the mountain road, be careful of your speed (please drive according to actual traffic regulations). If you use the train, get off at Hida-Kosaka Station or Gero Station on the JR Takayama Main Line. However, there are no bus services to Daku Onsen, so some ryokans may offer shuttle services to and from the station. If you get off at Hida-Kosaka Station on the JR Takayama Main Line, it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by taxi to get to Daku Onsen, and the fare is approximately 12,000 to 13,000 yen. アクセスはあまり良く無いが秘湯感あります。下呂からのアクセスはかなり悪いので利用しない方がいいです。もう一つのルートはしっかり整備されていて走りやすい道になっていますが、1800mくらいだったでしょうか？結構登ります。

かなり良いお湯ですね😆 熱さも丁度よし🤗 市営なので値段も少し安いです🤏 僕が言った時はあいにくの雨でミストの雨がパラパラ、霧も出ていて景色はあまりよくなかったですが、十分に楽しめます😊

御嶽山のふもとにある源泉かけ流しの温泉です。日帰り入浴しました。１人大人1000円です。急で狭くて地面も整備されてない、行きは下り坂、帰りは上り坂、かなり長い距離できついです。そして気を付けて歩かないと転びそうですが、川が流れているところに混浴の露天風呂があります。200円でバスタオルのレンタルができます。女性は専用の上下に別れた水着のようなものです。初夏？梅雨？のせいか虫がたくさん飛んでいて、それがお風呂に浮いていて、あまりいい感じはしませんでした。旅館のなかにある内風呂と露天風呂はとても気持ち良く最高でした。かなりのカーブの多い、登って下ってを繰り返し、狭くて長い道を通ってやっとたどり着いた温泉です。
