In addition, the slope called "Dokan-zaka" is a slope made by reusing waste wheels used during firing, with Meiji-era pipes and Showa-era shochu bottles lined up densely on both walls. The first floor of the sundries shop sells cute and feminine accessories and dishes. Popular pottery artists such as Haruko Harada and Hiroshi Arai are also featured, and the stylish dishes and sweets served are popular. In addition, "MADYAMA" is a cafe renovated from a clay pipe factory located about a 2-minute walk from the pottery walking path parking lot. The mix of heavy columns and casual interior design allows for a stylish break in the chic shop. Furthermore, "Kiriyama Coffee" is the newest cafe on the Tokoname Pottery Path, which opened in February 2022, where you can enjoy coffee and sweets. The charm of the Tokoname stroll is that you can easily stop by during your walk. Pottery cafe hopping on the pottery walking path is recommended as a perfect resting spot during sightseeing, where you can enjoy stylish dishes and sweets.

The Tokoname Pottery Forest Museum is a pottery museum that opened in 1981 and was renovated and reopened in October 2021. Approximately 300 items, including production tools and products of Tokoname ware, a nationally designated important intangible cultural property, are on display, making it a must-see place for those interested in pottery. In addition, the facility has two facilities, the "Pottery Research Institute" and the "Training Workshop," where you can experience pottery making yourself. There are also many kilns and shops in Tokoname City, where you can stroll through streets surrounded by pottery. Stroll Along a Path to Experience the History and Culture of Pottery
The "Yakimono Stroll Path" is a popular tourist spot where you can stroll through the pottery town of Tokoname City and experience its history and culture. Starting from the Tokoname Ceramic Hall, which is about a 5-10 minute walk from Tokoname Station, you can enjoy a walk around the town, kiln ruins, kilns, and workshops with the pamphlet distributed there. There are two courses, 1.6km and 4km, and you can choose according to your preference and physical strength. Along the way, there are traditional kilns and modern ceramic artists' workshops, as well as many souvenir shops and cafes. Depending on the season, pottery markets and events may also be held, allowing you to experience the deep culture. When visiting Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture, why not take a stroll along the "Yakimono Stroll Path"?
