Movie World! "My Neighbor Totoro"
Standing in a forest that looks like Totoro might appear, it is the "hometown" of everyone's hearts. You can time-slip into nostalgic scenery. It was built on the site of the Aichi Expo. The atmosphere is full of character, and it wouldn't be strange if Makkuro Kurosuke appeared!

Highlights

Point 1

Experience the World of My Neighbor Totoro!

Satsuki and Mei's House Experience the World of My Neighbor Totoro!
At Ghibli Park, where you can experience the world of Studio Ghibli films, there is a facility called "Satsuki and Mei's House." Located in Aichi Prefecture, this building is a reproduction of the Kusakabe family's house, which was the setting for the animated film "My Neighbor Totoro." The interior is meticulously crafted, faithfully reproducing the world of the animated film. You can feel nostalgic by experiencing the atmosphere of the Showa era and the atmosphere seen in that movie in person.
Point 2

Remember Movie Scenes on the Tatami Floor

The tatami floor is also accurately reproduced, and you can recall the sight of Satsuki making a bento lunch using the stove. Many people may have longed for the bento lunch with cherry blossom-shaped fish cakes made by Satsuki. Also, when you look at the shelves, you'll find nostalgic canned goods, bento boxes, and water bottles stored there. Adults may also feel nostalgic! Please take a close look at all the details.
Point 3

Relax in Father's Study

Satsuki and Mei's House Relax in Father's Study
Satsuki and Mei's father's study has also been accurately recreated and has many attractions. The study, with its design that allows plenty of light to enter, has a sense of openness, making you want to work here. As their father is an archaeologist, there are many difficult books lined up, so please take a look at what kind of books are there. Mei may even come in with a dandelion at some point.
Point 4

Visit a Garden with Fine Artwork

Satsuki and Mei's House Visit a Garden with Fine Artwork
In the garden, there are impressive holed buckets that Mei peered into, as well as a well where Satsuki and Mei did laundry. Actually, this well really does have water coming out of it! If it were really possible to do laundry there, wouldn't you want to try that foot-stomping laundry you saw in the movie? Don't forget to also check under the eaves of the house from the garden to see if there are any small Totoros around.
Point 5

Call for Makkurokurosuke

One thing not to forget is the staircase leading to the second floor of the veranda. Unfortunately, you cannot go up to the second floor, but you can call out "Makkurokurosuke, come out!" so why not give it a try! Although Makkurokurosuke won't actually come out, acorns are falling just like in the actual scene. This is a must-see production for fans of My Neighbor Totoro.
