A huge waterfall with a total drop of 181 meters that spans over the Sumikawa River. It is famous as one of the representative waterfalls of the Sumikawa Valley. The sight of a large amount of water falling in three stages is truly breathtaking. There is a legend that a monster crab called Mokuzou-gani used to live in the basin of the waterfall.

Access to Sankei Waterfall
If you're coming to Sankei Waterfall by public transportation, it's convenient to take a bus from JR Shiroishi-Zao Station and get off at the "Togatta Onsen Yumoto-machi" bus stop, then use a taxi. If you're coming by car, it takes about 50 minutes from the "Shiroishi" IC on the Tohoku Expressway to Takimi-dai, or about the same amount of time from the "Murata" IC. You can enjoy a pleasant drive along the rich natural scenery. Sankei Waterfall is a healing spot surrounded by abundant nature. The sound of the waterfall and the quiet atmosphere around it bring a peaceful moment to visitors.

Parking Information for the Three-Story Waterfall in Harmony with Nature
When visiting the Three-Story Waterfall, you can use the parking lot. There are 20 free spaces available, but since there is a limit to the number of spaces, we recommend arriving early. Especially during busy periods such as weekends, holidays, and summer vacation, there is a possibility of congestion, so please be aware in advance. You can relax in a lush green environment and refresh both your mind and body. Please spend a luxurious moment enjoying the beautiful waterfall while feeling the breath of nature.
