The Nadeuma horses at Hayama Shrine have an amazing power: they didn't wash away in the Great East Japan Earthquake. This shrine is not only known for its benefits in safe childbirth and child-rearing, but also for its divine favor in winning horse races, passing exams, succeeding in work, and improving daily life. It is a beloved power spot with a long history of over 800 years, and is also associated with Kajiwara Kagesue, a famous samurai of the Heian period. Informational signs about the history and the Genpei War are also installed in the shrine.
