The Former Kohara Family Residence in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture, is a farmhouse from the mid-18th century during the feudal era. Known as a Nanbu curved house, it offers a glimpse into the lifestyle and culture of the Edo period. Designated as an important cultural property by the government, the building with its thatched roof and traditional hip-and-gable roof style is a must-see.
