Access by Car is About 25 Minutes from Matsuo-Hachimantai IC
To access Matsukawa Onsen by public transportation, you can take the Iwate-Kita Bus bound for Matsukawa Onsen from JR Morioka Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes, and you can get off at the final stop or other stops. Using the bus is a relatively easy way to access the hot spring area. If you are using a private car, you can reach the area by taking Route 23, 212, and 45 via Matsuo-Hachimantai IC on the Tohoku Expressway, which takes about 16km and 25 minutes. By following the road signs, you can arrive at Matsukawa Onsen.
