Yukiwari Bridge spans the Abukuma River valley. With a height of about 50 meters, looking down from the bridge can make your legs feel weak due to the height. In autumn, the bridge and its surroundings are covered in autumn leaves, transforming the scenery into a fiery landscape. In winter, the entire area becomes a silver world, and the valley split by the Abukuma River appears right before your eyes. Witnessing such a fantastic sight will surely make you feel like a child again!

Yukigaseki Bridge Take a Leisurely Stroll on Nishi-no-Sato Walking Trail
If you visit Yukiwari Bridge, we recommend taking a stroll on the Nishi-no-Sato walking trail. The approximately 3km long trail allows you to walk through various seasonal landscapes. Information boards are also firmly installed along the trail, so you can enjoy your walk with peace of mind. The sound of stepping on fallen leaves is pleasant, and young children will be delighted. There are also several waterfalls along the trail, so be sure to soak up plenty of negative ions.
Point 3

Yukigaseki Bridge The View from the Yukiwari Bridge Observatory is Breathtaking!
On the Nishinosato Promenade, there is a "Yukiwari Bridge Observatory" where you can see the magnificent Yukiwari Valley and Yukiwari Bridge. From here, you can also see the Nasu mountain range in the distance, making it a superb scenic spot that many photography enthusiasts capture in their photos. The deeply carved valley looks just like the Grand Canyon. By gazing at the view from this spot, you can feel the mystery of nature.
Point 4

The "Bear Slide" is Popular on the Walking Trail!

Yukigaseki Bridge The "Bear Slide" is Popular on the Walking Trail!
A popular spot on the Nishi-no-Sato walking trail is the "Bear Slide". It's located about 20 minutes from the Yukiwari Bridge parking lot and offers a view of a distinctive waterfall. The waterfall is a single rock face, about 10 meters high and 15 meters wide, where multiple tributaries intersect and create a complex flow. The waterfall is surrounded by a very open landscape, making it easy to imagine bears enjoying themselves here. The waterfall, enveloped in such a sense of openness, is a must-see.

A Breathtaking Tourist Spot 15 Minutes from Shirakawa IC
The Snow Split Bridge spans the Snow Split Gorge in the Abukuma River source area, just 15 minutes from Shirakawa IC. During the winter months, the entire gorge becomes a silver world, and the name "Yukiwari" was given because the Abukuma River flows as if "splitting" the scenery. It is also famous as one of the best spots for autumn leaves in the prefecture, and tourist buses and cars come one after another. The secluded Snow Split Bridge shows us wonderful scenery throughout the four seasons.
